Cookies and measurement tools

What we use
If you accept in the banner, cookies from other companies are added: Google Analytics statistics cookies, which measure which pages are read, and Meta advertising cookies, which measure ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people who may be interested. If you say yes, we also keep track of which of our ads you came from: in the current visit, while it lasts, and in your first visit. We keep your first visit with its date, and it counts for 30 days. After that it no longer counts: on the first page of the site you open, we keep the visit of that day in its place. If you buy, we record both visits in the order. If you say no, they are deleted. If you make no choice, nothing is loaded.
In your browser we keep only what is needed to make the site work, and it stays on your device: the basket, your cookie choice, with the day you made it, the language you choose on the site, the details you enter at checkout (they stay until you complete your order; if you close the tab first, for 2 hours after you last change them, then they are deleted the next time you open a page of the site) and, after a purchase, two markers: one so that the same order is not counted twice, one so that the animation on the confirmation page does not play again.
pippi_amico: if you arrive from the discount QR code in the booklet, your browser’s storage keeps the code to apply the discount you asked for, for 30 days; after that it is no longer valid, and it is deleted the next time you open a page of the site. If you buy, the code goes with the order, as explained in the privacy policy. It is a technical tool, like the basket.
The cookies
- pippi_sessione and pippi_entrato: after you have signed in with email and password, they keep you signed in as you move from one page to another; the second only tells the pages to show your account instead of “Sign in”. They last 30 days, or until you sign out.
- _ga and _ga_J4TL3D00G9 (Google Analytics, only if you accept statistics): they recognise your browser from one visit to the next (with a random number, not with your name) and keep the pages of the same visit together. They last up to 2 years.
- _fbp (Meta, only if you accept advertising): it recognises your browser, to measure ads. It lasts 90 days.
- _fbc (Meta, only if you accept advertising and arrive from an ad): it remembers which ad you came from. It lasts 90 days.
Who reads them
Cookies from other companies are read by whoever sets them, and each one explains what it does with the data in its own privacy policy: Google and Meta. Who processes your data, and on what basis, is explained in the privacy policy.
Your choice
On your first visit, you choose in the banner: “Reject” or “Accept”, or “Choose which ones”, one by one. If you close the banner with the X, it is the same as “Reject”: only technical cookies remain. Without a choice, everything stays off, even if you scroll the page. You can change your mind at any time from “Review your cookie choices”, at the bottom of every page, or below: if you withdraw consent for a purpose, the cookies already set for it are deleted.
Your choice lasts 12 months, then the banner asks you again. We keep it for the same time, with a random code that does not say who you are: it lets us show what you chose and know how many people accept. If you write to us about your choice, tell us the code.
